Beef and Balsamic ragu

Ingredients

  • 350 gram pasta cooked
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 red onions cut into wedges
  • 1 tbsp rosemary chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 500 gram beef mince
  • 0.3 cup tomato paste
  • 400 gram can tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp chicken stock
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in saucepan.
  2. Add onion and cook until starting to caramelise.
  3. Add rosemary, garlic and mince and cook until mince is browned.
  4. Add tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add tomatoes, stock, water and vinegar.
  6. Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer stirring occasionally until sauce thickens.
  7. Mix with pasta.
