Fancy saffron rice

Ingredients
- 2 cup long grain basmati rice
- 2 tbsp salted butter
- 4 cup vegetable broth
- 2 pinch saffron
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup fried onions
Instructions
- Wash the rice 2-3 times in water until water runs clear.
This makes it fluffier after cooking
- Heat 2 tbsp salted butter in large pan on medium heat
- Add drained rice and saute for a minute
- Add vegetable broth, saffron and salt and mix gently
- Cover the pan and heat for 15-20 minutes until the liquid
is absorbed
- Remove pan from heat and rest for 5-10 minutes.
- Fluff rice gently with a fork, garnish with fried onions
and serve
- Use good quality saffron!
- Soak saffron in 1 tbsp of warm water for 5-6 hours to get
better taste (blooming)
