Swedish Meatballs

Ingredients
meatballs
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 600g beef mince
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 3/4 tsp salt
gravy
- 40g butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup cream
Instructions
- Mix all meatball ingredients together.
- Form meatballs using approx 1 tablespoon full of the meat
mixture each.
- Fry meatballs over high heat in skillet until brown all
over, but still raw inside. Then, set aside.
- Add butter to skillet and melt.
- Add flour and stir in. Cook for 1min.
- Add the beef broth slowly, stirring as you go. Then, add
meatballs back in.
- Turn up heat and simmer for 8-10min.
- Add cream and continue simmering for 2min.
Notes
- Fits well to simple mash potato.
